Disciple: one who knows the story of which his life is necessarily situated. The fulfillment of his human vocation will very largely depend on how closely the story in which he rather unconsciously imagines himself to be participating accords with the actual situation of his existence, of the world in which he lives, and of the unique circumstances of his moment in that unfolding drama.
