MERRY CHRISTMAS

I can’t resist sharing something that I just coincidentally happened upon in my reading this morning, from a book by the great Swiss theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar:
“In this ‘life’ all properties ascribable to God are superseded … disarming every worldly power by becoming so nakedly and powerlessly exposed to it. Every wisdom can be seen here, especially at the moment when it behaves as folly to every worldly wisdom.”
