Preserving a Nation . . .

By Gil Bailie inBlog

Posted on: Aug 26, 2023

“The value of the nation is elevated through Christianity, insofar as the higher value of the ‘individual, ‘ the person, has become endless: it consists for us not in the insistence on denationalizing, if we do not want to give ourselves up. Leveling in spiritual things is unchristian…The second way is thus by far the better: through comprehension and through conciliation, and through respect to preserve the worth of all and thereby to unify all on a higher order, which can only be a spiritual unity.” – Theodor Haecker, Vergil, Father of the West, p. 83.

Our hearts correspond to Christ. Unless a people or nation actively adores and worships Him, they, we, will live in aimless and meaningless misery.
